First haircut!

I had been threatening for awhile to cut Emma's hair.  It was sooooo long and straggly.  It was constantly tangled, and she hated getting it brushed, fixed, washed, etc..  That being said, it was a daily struggle.

The pictures below depict a good hair day...usually it is in a ponytail because it just doesn't work down and bows don't stay put very well either.  Emma has also been known to get food in her hair even when it is in a ponytail....so whatevs.

I finally got the nerve and decided to cut it.  I wasn't sure where to go, and then I thought to myself "How hard can it be? We aren't talking layers and a new style here, just a trim.."

So I did it.  I waited until Brent got home, and I guzzled a glass of wine to calm the nerves and I went to cuttin.

This is the before...

And now, the after.  I will spare yall the in between...Brent videoed me and I was stressing just a little:)

All her hair!!!!  (Don't worry...I did save it...although it seems a bit creepy to save hair...)

I am very happy with how it turned out, but I will say that it was not as easy as you would think.  And it's also sad....very sad.   Those were Emma's baby locks...her precious little curls that were on her head when she was first born:(  I didn't even realize how emotional that part would be.

And then there is the paranoia that sets in as the hair dries...is it even?
Does it look homemade?
Like homemade it a bad way???

I still don't know the answers to all the above questions, but Emma loves it (she keeps telling people about her haircut), and I think she is adorable.  I am a little envious...I might need to go get me a bob style to match:)
